VANPIC is developing an integrated shipyard with a state-of-the-art ship building facility that will also take care of repair of onshore, offshore rigs & ships. It is proposed to have a building dry dock, a ship repair yard and a mechanised slipway. VANPIC aims to make it one of the best shipyards in the Region.

The shipyard is being integrated with Vadarevu port as the project offers cost advantages with common breakwaters and navigational areas.

All field investigations, surveys, technical and marketing studies have been completed. VANPIC has obtained statutory clearances including Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) clearance from Ministry of Environment & Forest(MoEF), Govt. of India. The Environment, Forests, Science and Technology (E.F.S.T - CZMA) Department, GoAP has issued NOC under Coastal Regulation Zone(CRZ) Rules.
